Midwest Napa Valley

Located amongst the beautiful rolling hills of the Shawnee National Forest, the Shawnee Hills wine trail features 12 unique wineries to enjoy.  Travelers can delight in award winning wines along a 25+ mile trail.  Many of the wineries feature live entertainment and free tasting.  You do not have to visit California to have a Napa Valley experience.  The region has been defined as an American Viticultural Area and features many opportunities for outdoor recreation and lodging. Spring is in the air

Spring has sprung here is Southern Illinois.  The temperature is getting warmer, the birds are singing, and the flowers are beginning to bloom.  Soon, we will have morels sprouting on the forest floors.  Now is a great time to get out and enjoy the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail..  Also, Giant City Stables is now open for horseback riding.
